– A celebrity photographer was arrested Thursday after he was found hiding in the bushes outside a day-care center attended by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son, Maddox, People.com reports. Clint Brewer, 25, was trying to take pictures of the 4-year-old, said Pitt’s publicist. It was not clear whether Maddox or either of his parents were present at the time. Brewer was released on $1,000 bail. According to a sheriff’s spokesperson, he will be ordered to appear in court to face the trespassing charge, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum penalty of a year in county jail.
– Johnny Depp, who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, will give voice to the character for “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow,” a PC and PlayStation 2 game from Bethesda Softworks, set to be released June 27.
– Middle-earth is coming to England. Producers announced Thursday that the lavish stage version of “The Lord of the Rings” will open in London next year — trimmed, tightened and reworked since its Toronto premiere in March. The show, which had its world premiere at Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre in March, opens June 19, 2007, at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, with previews from May 9. Producer Kevin Wallace said the $23 million show, which has a cast of 50, would be the most expensive ever staged in London.
