My wife, son and I recently were walking along Michigan Avenue.
We were just across the street from the Water Tower when a local Chicagoan stopped and offered to take a picture of the three of us.
As she did so, a large number of pedestrians who were walking along the sidewalk on busy Michigan Avenue stopped to allow the picture to be taken of our family.
As out-of-state visitors, we were most impressed by a group of citizens who allowed this family photo to be taken, especially since they didn’t know us and we didn’t know them.
Two words immediately came to mind: “consideration” and “thoughtfulness.”
What a wonderful tribute to a proud city.
Chicagoans should take pride.
It certainly made our visit to Chicago a delightful and very special one.
