Ivan C. Lyons, age 78, of Naperville, passed away peacefully at home, June 30, surrounded by his family. He was born June 11, 1928 in Somerville, NJ, the son of the late Oscar and the late Dorothy Lyons; loving husband of Ingrid, wedded for 40 years; devoted father of Peter (Christy) Lyons and Lisa (Paul) Martin; beloved grandfather of Evan, Sarah, Thomas and Mark Lyons and James and Anna Martin. Ivan served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Amoco Chemical Co. after 40 years of service. Ivan was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Aurora, IL and was a former member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Naperville. A future memorial service will be held at Century Memorial Chapel, Webster St. and Aurora Rd. (on the grounds of Naper settlement, Naperville, IL). Interment is private.
