– Several years ago, there was a TV series called “Homefront.” Was Sarah Jessica Parker in it? She never mentions it. –Mimi Shapiro, South Euclid, Ohio
That’s probably because she wasn’t in it. The younger female cast members of the 1991-93 ABC drama series about life in a post-World War II town included Jessica Steen, Alexandra Wilson, Sammi Davis-Voss, Tammy Lauren, Giuliana Santini and Kelly Rutherford.
– Who is the actor who plays T-Bag on “Prison Break”? I am unable to recall seeing him on any other television shows. –Marie Subers, Essington, Pa.
Robert Knepper has many other home-screen credits, one of the more recent and notable being “Carnivale,” but he’s usually turned up as just a one-episode guest star. On that count, he also has appeared on “Law & Order,” “CSI: Miami,” “ER,” “The West Wing,” “Star Trek: Voyager” and “Profiler” – and that’s just to name a few. He also has a substantial movie career, a couple of his latest efforts in that arena being “Hostage” and “Good Night, and Good Luck.”
– Back in the mid-to-late 1960s, “The Time Tunnel” was one of my favorite shows, but I haven’t seen it since. Please help me find it. –Ron Kennedy, Baytown, Texas
The premium-cable Action channel (part of the Starz/Encore group of channels) ran the Irwin Allen-produced show quite a bit recently, but it’s on moratorium there now. All is not lost, though, since Fox Home Entertainment has released the entire series — which starred James Darren and Robert Colbert as the time travelers — in two boxed DVD sets.
– My favorite show of 2005 was “Rome.” Will there be a season two soon, and will the first season be available on DVD? –Ron Brammer, Columbia, Md.
Yes, there will be a second year, but it will be a while before it’s actually seen on HBO. Production began in — where else? — Rome, but the first batch of episodes took well over a year to make. For the time being, the network is saying only that the new installments will debut “in 2007.” You’ll be able to acquire a DVD set of the original stories much sooner; that will be available from HBO Video on Aug. 15.
