Frontman Rivers Cuomo (above) told mtv.com that “for the moment, we are done. And I’m not certain we’ll ever make a record again, unless it becomes really obvious to me that we need to do one.”
He claims there’s no bad blood between bandmates, who served as groomsmen at his June wedding, but “we’ve never mentioned getting together.”
Rivers reports that he has been hanging with new bride at her parents’ house in Japan and recording new songs at the mega-mall down the street for $5 an hour.
Some of the songs are autobiographical, he says, but “I don’t really see the point of a solo career.”
