Catch it: Couples waiting for a fresh twist on the romantic comedy have found their date movie in this story of girl-gets-guy, girl-loses-guy, girl-hurls-shark-through-guy’s-window.
Skip it: If a fear of heights would stop you from having sex while you and your significant other fly through the air. Honey, not with all these birds watching us!
Bottom line: The special effects are far from super, but “My Super Ex-Girlfriend” is a wacky way of showing that even heroes get depressed, and that men can be comfortable with women wearing the pants–er, cape.
Bonus: No longer will you worry when your date takes forever to get back from the bathroom. She’s actually out saving the world!
