Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

How edgy are some Sox fans? Tiger Woods wins the British Open, and some fans are thinking, “Just wait–Tigers’ pitching will fold in August.”

2. Expect the best

Panicking over the Sox is soooo Chicago. Think Yankee fans are whining over second place? OK, bad example, but still …

3. Then again

Some Sox will sign autographs at the Brookfield Zoo. Stay away from the tigers. STAY AWAY FROM THE TIGERS.

4. D.C. comical

Nationals got their first 2006 home sweep against your Cubs. Wonder how that looks on the old evaluation.

5. Cheer up

The Gay Games Closing Ceremony was a joyous occasion. Haven’t seen that many group hugs and smiles at Wrigley Field since the sixth inning of Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS.

6. Cool down

Bears camp opens Thursday, and you’re thinking, “Is it too early to wonder how safe Rex Grossman’s job is?” Great question, and yes, it’s too early.

7. Saints alive

If future NFL superstar Reggie Bush is thinking about holding out all year, then he should have stayed in school. Get in camp, and let’s get this party started.

8. Feel the pain

Cade McNown got married. Remember him? No? You’ve forgotten him completely? Show the rest of us how you did that.

9. Emotional times

When I read “A 21-year-old won a combined $1.4 million in recent poker events,” I want to cry and scream, “And WHY did I go to college?”

FIVE MORE …

Soothing reminders for Sox fans:

– You don’t live in Detroit.

— It’s not even August yet. Beer me.

– Even Floyd Landis lost a few stages.

– Twins are acting all cocky now.

– Could be worse. Could be a Cubs fan.
