Corey Evan Diamond, age 16, died tragically Sunday evening. Beloved son of Ed and Melanie, nee Hirsch, Diamond; proud brother of Ariel; cherished grandson of Lola (the late Paul) Hirsch and Burdge (Elayne) Diamond; devoted nephew of Howard (Miriam) Hirsch and Rich Diamond; dearest cousin of Lea and Anna Hirsch. Corey played trumpet in the Buffalo Grove High School Band, Jazz Band, and The Expressions. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 140 where he earned his Eagle Scout award last year. He loved fishing, golfing, volleyball, and the outdoors. He had a true zest for life. He will be missed by his many extended family members and friends. Services Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the Chicago Jewish Funerals Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., (One Blk. North of Lake Cook Rd.), Buffalo Grove. Interment Shalom.
