Nothing would be worse than lugging your lawn chairs, cooler full of beverages and big backpack to Lollapalooza in Grant Park starting Friday only to find that you can’t bring them into the venue.
Be prepared and pack accordingly. Here’s a list of items from lollapalooza.com that you can’t bring to the festival, plus things you can take in with you.

Box office
Gates open at 11 a.m. The box office will be open for will call, wristband redemption and ticket sales all three days from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In and outs
Three-day ticketholders must obtain their wristband at the box office. Three-day wristbands allow re-entry into the park, but they are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and will not be replaced. One-day ticketholders cannot re-enter the park once they leave, according to the Lollapalooza Web site.
Ride your bike
Lollapalooza has three options for parking your bike.
– Bike racks on Columbus Drive, just north of Balbo across from the entrance to the festival.
– The city of Chicago provides covered, free bike parking near the corner of Randolph Street and Columbus Drive at the Millennium Park Bicycle Station.
– The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation provides complimentary bike parking through its Chase Bike Valet from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. all three days of the festival. Your ride is placed in a secure, enclosed area located at Lake Shore Drive and Monroe Street in Grant Park.

Grant Park North Underground Garage: Enter from Michigan Avenue at Randolph and Madison Streets.
Millennium Park Garage: Enter from Columbus Drive between Randolph and Monroe Streets.
Monroe Street Garage: Enter from Columbus Drive between Randolph and Monroe Streets.
CTA bus lines
These routes stop at Jackson/Michigan and Balbo/Michigan, where Lolla-goers can head east to Grant Park.

– Red Line to Harrison or Jackson stations, walk east to Grant Park.
– Blue Line to Jackson station, then on foot east to Grant Park; or transfer to southbound Red Line train to Harrison and walk east to Grant Park.
– Orange and Green Lines to Adams station, walk east to Grant Park.
