Considering the violence, hate and death plaguing this world, maybe it is time for something I would like to call a “common creed.” If I had my way, the following; which I call “The Creed of the Children of Abraham,” would be on a plaque and placed next to the entryway to every mosque, church and synagogue:
We Muslims, Christians and Jews are the children of Abraham. We believe in one God who is loving, merciful and just. We will treat each other in the same manner.
