Students and teachers will screen the movies they created in a summer digital filmmaking workshop. A reception for the filmmakers will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, and the screening will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Education Center 1500 McDaniel Ave., Evanston. The student filmmakers include: Ishara Emerson, Hunt Chu, Lester Tacmo, Madeline Smith, Khoi Le, Sara Urquiaga, Jeremy Novak, William Bermudez and Vicky Fan. Teacher filmmakers are: Ina Allen, Rick Anderson, Frada Boxer, Nancy Busker, Cyd Ticho, Felicia Przekota, Scott Resnick, Jamilla Pitts and Suzanne Lang. Admission is free. The University Center of Lake County will sponsor a College Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at 1200 University Center Drive, Grayslake. The program will showcase undergraduate programs.
