Leonard J. Vitale, 83, of Lake Barrington Shores, formerly of Lincolnwood and Skokie. Beloved husband of Florence Dodds; devoted father of Walter (Kathryn) and Leanne (John) Pontarelli; cherished grandfather of Michael Vitale, Anne and John Pontarelli; dear brother of Anthony and Dominic; and fond uncle of many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Sophie, his beloved wife of 47 years, his parents Leonardo and Anna, his brothers James, Joseph and Frank, and his sister Ida Molinare. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at St. Anne’s Church, Franklin & Ela Street, Barrington, 847-382-5300.
