At least one fan outside the Chicago Theatre on Thursday knew exactly what he wanted from actor Will Ferrell.

“Let’s go streaking,” the man yelled, as Ferrell signed autographs on the red carpet prior to the screening of his new film, “Stranger Than Fiction,” which opened the Chicago International Film Festival.

Ferrell, wearing a CTA sweater, told RedEye that the temperature of the Chicago River surprised him during his stay.

“The river’s not as cold as it looks,” he said. “I’d go for a brisk swim every morning [in] a light jogging suit. A 20-minute swim, get the blood going.”

Ferrell also made light of the “Frat Pack,” the group of actors that includes Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, and Owen and Luke Wilson, among others. When asked what position he’d have in a fraternity, he said:

“I’d probably be the song chairman. There probably wouldn’t be a lot of paperwork. Probably wouldn’t have to show up that much.”
