“Rockford” isn’t listed among the Oscar-winning actor’s relatively rare television credits. However, early in his career, he did appear in episodes of the shows “Naked City,” “Hawaii Five-O” and “Kojak.” And as a youngster, when he was billed as “Ronnie” Walken, he was the first Mike Bauer on the venerable CBS daytime serial “Guiding Light.”

The management of the new CW decided not to hold that show over from the now-defunct WB Network, but a couple of its stars have new series jobs. Kiele Sanchez has joined the cast of ABC’s “Lost” — which we’d almost say guarantees her more job security, but with the mortality rate on that drama, you never know — while Lizzy Caplan is among the regulars on the new CBS sitcom “The Class.”
– My family really enjoyed the series “Kyle XY” on ABC Family, but the show ended with a lot of questions still unanswered. We were all wondering if there is going to be a second season. –Joyce Reilly, Pinnebog Heights, Mich.
Yes, there will. The show has been renewed, and the extra exposure the episodes got from broadcasts on parent network ABC probably didn’t hurt. A specific start date hadn’t been confirmed for year two at this writing.
– I am looking for the DVD of the series “Dinosaurs” — the one with “I’m the baby, gotta love me!” — for my grandchildren. Is it, or will it ever be, out on disc? –Sandra Strickland, Fayetteville, N.C.
The first and second seasons of the former ABC series, with characters devised by Muppet master Jim Henson, are in a DVD set from Buena Vista Home Entertainment.
– I would like to know what has happened to “Everwood.” Are there any episodes available on DVD? –Marge Eliason, Billings, Mont.
The show’s fourth and final season ended with a defining coda, since the cast and crew filmed that in anticipation of possibly not being renewed. The first season of the former WB Network show was released on DVD a while ago, but Warner Home Video has made no decision about issuing the other seasons. ABC Family has just started weeknight repeats of the show; if audience response to those is strong enough, that might help the DVD- release process along.
