George A. Abrahamson, 85, passed from this life at home, in Scottsdale, AZ, on Sept. 22, 2006. He was born to Ester and Karl Abrahamson in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was the loving husband to Virginia; loving father to Karen and Jim Brosnan; loving grandfather to Karl and Barbara Brosnan and Katie and Brandon Bradley; great-grandfather to Solee, Bodhi and Reilly; loving brother to Vivian Cartwright. George was chaplain in the VFW and Eucharistic Minister in Florida where he and Virginia lived for 24 years. He will be missed by those who love him and embraced by family and friends who went to everlasting life before him. Memorial service Saturday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
