I know this is not a new subject, but it continues to boggle my mind why Bill Wirtz refuses to show Blackhawks home games on TV. I was at the October 12 game where “8,008” fans saw the Hawks take on Nashville, an all-time low at the United Center.
Wirtz has to know that he cannot build a fan base if fans can only watch half the team’s games. He just doesn’t want to admit that he’s wrong. It’s a shame that we Hawks fans cannot watch the likes of the amazing Martin Havlat and Co. fight for a playoff spot this season for the first time in years. It’s also a shame that Wirtz has driven one of the greatest franchises in sports into the ground.
