In answer to those who believe that voters should not vote for the best candidate but should instead consider preserving power for the controlling party (Republican), I say this: I would not consider buying a pair of ugly, expensive, uncomfortable shoes just because I had purchased a couple of good pairs from a particular manufacturer in the past! Citizens should be responsible and vote for the best candidates; if more debate and honesty arise because of a better mixture, that’s a plus for our democracy.
