John Taylor Burris, 79, of Northfield, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rachel, nee Nordberg; brother Bob, sister Nancy Roberts; daughters Kimberly (Cliff) Wagner, Katherine (Jim) Carini and son Michael; grandchildren Taylor Hills, Johanna Frenz and Jack and Charlotte Carini; and great-grandchild Joaquin Vargas, son of Johanna Frenz and Oniel Vargas. John was born and raised in Medina, OH. He served in WWII on the Navy ship USS Cabildo. He attended Miami University of Ohio where he met his wife Rachel. John resided in Northfield for over 50 years and was a founding member of St. James the Less Episcopal Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at St. James the Less Episcopal Church, 550 Sunset Ridge Rd., Northfield, IL, 60093.
