Nancy A. Alessi, 49, passed away suddenly January 3, 2007 in Limestone, IL. She was born October 8, 1957 in Chicago, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2007 at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church 10 a.m., Monday. Inurnment will be at All Saints Cemetery Wednesday, January 10, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Alessi who she married October 8, 1982 in Palos Hills, IL; three children, Mark Alessi of Champaign, IL, Steven Alessi of Kankakee, IL and Stephanie Alessi of Bloomington, IL; parents, Nicholas Tragos (retired C.F.D. and Nancy Kelly Tragos both of Spring Grove, IL; one sister, Mary (Don) Olson of Oak Forest, IL; three brothers, Thomas (C.F.D.) and Susan Tragos of Chicago, IL, Nicholas and Diane Tragos of Tinley Park, IL, George and Sueann Tragos of Homer Glen, IL; also survived by seven nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents John and Ann Kelly. Mrs. Alessi drove a school bus for the Herscher School District for 13 years. She enjoyed gardening, playing Bunco and Riding her motorcycle. She also volunteered at the Limestone grade school. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and strived to please everyone she knew.
