Edith E. Mizera, 85, of Beach Park, IL. Passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at home. She was born on February 7, 1921 in Austria and retired as hostess at the Rustic Manor in Gurnee in 1986 after 20 years of employment. She was a member of Northpoint Community Church in Winthrop Harbor and she loved to garden and be with her family. Survivors include two grandchildren Jennifer Stephens and Justin (Lucie) Stephens both of Beach Park, IL; four great-grandchildren Timothy Michael, Brandon Tyler, Raquel Fawn and Cameron Andrew Stephens. She was preceded by her husband Norbert Mizera, M/SGT. US Air Force in 1996, one daughter Marcia Stephens in 1993 and one grandson Jason Stephens 2004. Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 at The Salata Gurnee Funeral Home,4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee with interment to follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday 9 a.m. until time of service.
