Harry Tilson Sweeney, 85, formerly of Chicago, died Dec. 30, 2006, in Jackson, CA. Mr. Sweeney, a veteran of World War II, served in the United States Marine Corps in the South Pacific. He retired from Western Electric Company after 41 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Noreen (Raschke) Sweeney, and by three brothers and seven sisters. He is survived by his children Mary (the late Dale) Gillaspy, John (Betsy) Sweeney, and Thomas (Tana) Sweeney; his grandchildren Annie (Nick) Adler, Patrick (Lisa) Sweeney, Kevin Sweeney, Rebecca (Dan) Cassara, and Josh Jaco; his great-granddaughter Elizabeth Adler; his sister Frances Sweeney; sisters-in-law Grace Sweeney and Peggy Sweeney; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Mass will be in Livermore, CA, on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church followed by interment at St. Michael Cemetery.
