I won’t be around when historians examine the legacy of President Bush, but I’m willing now to guess what it will be.

Prediction: “The worst president the United States has ever had.”

Worst because his inherent character and personality led to poor foreign policy that was responsible for 3,000 deaths of young GIs and half a million innocent Iraqis citizens, and to the martyrdom of Saddam Hussein. Worst because he used religion for political purposes to polarize the U.S. electorate.

At Bush’s memorial there will be few eminent public figures who will eulogize him in a favorable way.
