Benjamin Sinclair Givin, 84, of Greenwood, IN, passed away Jan. 17. He was born Feb. 1, 1922 in Bushmills, Ireland to the late Arthur McCurdy and Elizabeth, nee Patterson, Givin. He married Betty McQueen on June 23, 1956. She survives. Other survivors include daughters, Sharon (John) Behrman and Diana Adcock, all of Columbus, IN; sisters, Sharon, Lil, Jean, Arlene and Sylvia; three granddaughters, Cathy, Michele and Vicky; stepgrandson, Scotty; three great-grandchildren, Abby, Caleb and Joshua; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother. Benjamin retired from American Can Company, having been a supervisor for 30 years. After retirement he worked at Payless Community Hospital. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in LaGrange, IL. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, Greenwood, IN. Memorial Services will be held in Chicago at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY, 10016.
