Richard L. Phillips, age 50, of New Lenox, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007. Richard is survived by his loving family, his wife, Mary Phillips, nee O’Reilly; children, Thomas Phillips, Sean Phillips, Patrick Phillips and Shannon Phillips; mother, Jean Phillips, nee Ikard; brother, Chuck (Ann) Phillips; sister, Kathy (Steve) Therry; and sister-in-law, Peggy O’Reilly. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Phillips. Richard was a member of the United Methodist Church in New Lenox and active in the Men’s Club. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Chicago and a proud supporter of his children’s involvement in scouting and music. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Frances Road, New Lenox, on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007 from 3 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday, Jan. 22, 2007 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at the United Methodist Church, 339 W.
