Saddam Hussein and his cohorts were tried, sentenced to death and executed. It is up to future historians to judge the facts that led to the demise of those people. The purpose to executions–although the death penalty is debatable–is to deprive life of another human being for crimes committed. Death is death. Does it have to be a news spectacle of humiliation? How much lower can we as intelligent and, supposedly, feeling human beings stoop?
