Police erased video of Vick at airport

A security video showing Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick surrendering a water bottle to a security screener at Miami International Airport was erased after it was requested by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution under Florida’s public records law. Lab tests cleared Vick of any wrongdoing. According to the newspaper, authorities wrote in an e-mail that the “video was deleted from the flash drive since it was not being used in a criminal case.”

NFL, union agree on tougher testing

The NFL and its players union have agreed to more extensive testing for performance-enhancing drugs and have added the blood-boosting substance EPO to the league’s list of banned substances. The agreement, announced jointly Wednesday by the league and union, also adds to the financial penalties for players suspended for using those drugs.
