Beloved husband of Helen, nee Wolf 43 years; loving father of Michael (Angela) and Shaun (Elizabeth); devoted grandfather of Tia, Helen, Michael III, Grace; dear son Dorothy (the late George) McGovern; fond brother of Danny (Janie), Tom (Carol), Bob (Lynn); son-in-law of Helen (the late Elmer E.) Wolf; brother-in-law of Connie (the late Jim) Trumbull; dear uncle of Jimmy (Dana) Trumball and Brad (Jenny) Trumbull, Jamie (Ivana) McGovern, Jackie (Tom) Lazzara, Meghan McGovern, Erin McGovern; and many other extended family members.
