This is in response to the Jan. 23 editorial “Indianapolis vs. Chicago.” Indianapolis is the most vibrant, clean, enjoyable city in the Midwest. No other city in the Midwest can compare to what we have accomplished over the last 20 years. Chicago is dirty, full of traffic, has rude people, is dangerous, is overpriced and, quite simply, can’t compare to the other great cities in the U.S. We in Indianapolis don’t need to compare ourselves to urban blight centers like Chicago. We compare ourselves to Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati and St. Louis. We beat them in every category.

Your town is, quite simply, gross, and you can have it. Meanwhile we will be entertaining a Super Bowl in the near future following the completion of our new state-of-the-art stadium. Keep your Star-Trek-meets-Indiana-limestone stadium, and the world will continue to see Chicago for what it is: Philly West!
