Knicks forward Quentin Richardson underwent back surgery and will miss the rest of the season. His recovery will take about three months.

Richardson “is expected to resume a normal NBA career,” according to a doctor. Doctors removed fragments from a herniated disc, the Knicks said.

Richardson missed the last seven games because of chronic back trouble.
