Everyone’s favorite Catholic schoolgirl, Mary Katherine Gallagher, is returning to late-night TV next week.
Hot off of her starring role in the dark comedy “The Year of the Dog,” Molly Shannon is set to return to “Saturday Night Live” next Saturday to host the show. Shannon admits that she doesn’t watch “SNL” as often as she would like.
But she added that it’s only natural for “SNL” alumni to compare themselves with the casts from other years. “I do — you can’t help but to do that,” Shannon told Tribune’s Terry Armour. “But I only know the group that I was with when I was there and what that was like. The show changes so much, depending on what writers are there and who’s head writing.”
