Glenn Roos, 75, of DeBary, Fl, formerly of Hawthorn Woods, Arlington Heights and Williams Bay, WI. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, in Swan Lake Chapel, at Oehler Funeral Home,at Ridgewood Memorial Park, 9900 Milwuakee Ave, Des Plaines. Interment will be in Ridgewood Memorial Park. He passed away Saturday, May 5, 2007, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Glenn was well respected and loved in the building business. He was a member of Northwest Builders and the Concrete Contractors Association for over 40 years. He was the owner of Cedar Glen Builders in Williams Bay and prior owner of Prime Scaffolding. He also was a salesman for CCS West (now R&J Construction Supplies) in Huntley. Glenn enjoyed golf, travel, dinners out with the guys, and always selling something. He mentored many people in the building, lumber and concrete businesses. He was the beloved son of Nels and Alma Roos of Chicago; beloved father of Lisa Roos, and Dawn Roos McElyea; grandfather of John Glenn Vigilante, Thomas Eric Rutledge, Stephen McElyea, Christina McElyea and Caitland McElyea; beloved former husband of the late Cynthia Roos and Erlene Roos; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
