Bernice Ruth Lundquist, nee Pedersen. Bernice was a member of our Savior Lutheran Church, Norwood Park; she was active in the Women’s Altar Guild and Choir. Member of P.T.L. at Our Savior School, Luther High School North and the Parents Group at Northwestern Military and Naval Academy in Lake Geneva WI; she also volunteered at Forkosh Hospital in Chicago and Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. She enjoyed acting in theater groups, golfing and traveling. She leaves her daughter Susan (David) Schenkel; grandchildren Kolleen (John) McDonald, Kortnee (Jim) DiSandro, Karl (Cathy), Scot (Julie), Tracey (Brian) Heleniak, Nicole (Eric) Luebbers, Jennifer (Michael) Ohlman and Brianne Schenkel (Andy Gaston); great-grandchildren Raenne (Kevin) Carlson, Alex, Lindsay, Erik, Gianni, Tia’, Pierce, Marshall, Nathan, Taylor, Holden, Ethan, Casper; great-great-grandson Zachary. Proceeded in death by her beloved husband Elmer Edwin; sons Karl and Earl; her parents; and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral Tuesday, June 5 11 a.m. at Ryan-Park Funeral Home,120 S. Northwest Highway (two blocks south of Touhy), Park Ridge. Interment private. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service. Memorials to the Heart Association or Muscular Dystrophy appreciated.
