Gordon L. Schaeppi, 56, lifelong resident of Highland Park, went to be with his Lord June 3, 2007. Having put up a courageous fight against cancer, Gordie died peacefully at home in the company of family and friends. Gordon was the beloved brother of Bill (Julie) Schaeppi, Barbara (Jim) Hildreth and half-sister Janice Kennedy of Scotland; uncle to Jenn, Micah and Zack; he is also survived by many cousins and treasured friends; he was preceded in death by his parents Marion, nee Moon, and Bill Schaeppi. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6th from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. Interment will be with his mother and father at Elmhurst Cemetery St. Paul, MN.
