Jack Leonard Marco, born on March 17, 1934, in Chicago, IL, passed away on June 15, 2007, at Southminster Retirement Community in Charlotte, NC. He was raised by his mother, Charlotte, along with his two brothers Allan and Phil (deceased). Jack became one of the country’s most successful jewelry salesmen during his 30 year career at Stein & Ellbogen Co. in Chicago where he was known for his quick wit, charm, tender heart and warm smile. For the next 17 years, he and his daughter Monica owned Brill Jewelers in Beloit, WI. He suffered a stroke on Feb. 23, 2001, from which he never fully recovered. He is survived by his five children Monica (David) Biernacki, Linda (Tom) Farley, Pamela (James) Nebor, Steven Marco, Laura (Anthony) Feriozzi; and their mother, Marsha Marco; as well as his 12 grandchildren, Jenna, Matthew, Kate, Laura, Sarah, Michael, Megan, Meredith, Caroline, Brett, Christopher and Anna. He most enjoyed his children, career and childhood friends. Jack leaves us with his strong work ethic, clever phrases, proper values and lifelong wisdom. He will forever be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southminster Foundation, 8919 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28210. A memorial service will be held in Chicago. Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Centeris entrusted with the arrangements.
