It appears 2-year-old actress Pearl McKay has retired.
Playing an angry landlord bent on collecting rent, the daughter of director and Second City alum Adam McKay starred in the hilarious Web video “The Landlord” with Will Ferrell. In her latest role, posted Monday, the toddler plays an angry cop who pulls a confession out of Ferrell by beating him up in “Good Cop, Baby Cop.”
But a news release announcing her retirement includes this quote from Pearl:
“My ventures as an actor on the Internet have been rewarding and spiritually fulfilling, but now I must look to broader challenges as I approach my 26th month. … I shall always reflect upon these days with much fondness, and also, I have no idea what I just said, and I want banana-nana and the upside down show.”
