The city is trying to nail down the December world premiere of Vince Vaughn’s (right) comedy, “Fred Claus,” which was filmed in part here last winter. Vaughn plays Santa’s bitter brother Fred who, after being bailed out of jail by Santa (Paul Giamatti), is forced to return to the North Pole to work in the family business. Vaughn’s romantic comedy “The Break-Up,” with Jennifer Aniston, also filmed in Chicago and premiered here in 2006.
