As WGN-TV sportscaster Rich King (right) awaits the release next month of his book “My Maggie” — which chronicles the battle his late wife, Maggie, waged with Usher syndrome and three types of cancer, including ovarian cancer — he has received word that Chicago’s first lady, Maggie Daley, has officially endorsed the book. Daley has been battling breast cancer since being diagnosed with the disease in 2002. “Obviously, this is a big thing for us,” King told us between holes Friday at the BMW Championship at Lemont’s Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. “I’m absolutely thrilled from the bottom of my heart. Maggie would be jumping up and down at the news.”
