Roll with it

Movie star

Don’t get him confused with actor Steve McQueen, a.k.a. “The King of Cool.” The British filmmaker featured in the Renaissance Society’s Steve McQueen installation spends most of his time on the other side of the camera. A six-week show featuring his work kicks off this week and includes “Gravesend,” a new Congo-themed short; and “Unexploded,” a 54-second film featuring footage from Basra, Iraq. 10 a.m. Through Oct. 28. Free. 5811 S. Ellis Ave. 773-702-8670.
