John E. McCarthy age 51 suddenly, proud and loving father of Brian P. McCarthy, treasured son of Bridie nee Higgins and the late Edward McCarthy; cherished friend of Kelly; loyal and devoted brother of Peter, Kevin (Noreen) McCarthy; loving uncle of Meghan and Michael; dedicated godfather of Timothy Beck and Kelly Harrington; respected friend of Thomas Harrington and his family.
Lying in state Wednesday 3 to 9 p.m. at the St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel 77th & Western Ave. Visitation Thursday 9:30 a.m. until Mass of the Resurrection 10:30 a.m. Interment private.
John was a graduate of St. Rita High School and a full member of the Chicago Board of Trade in the soy bean trading pit for 26 years, 100 Club, Ridge Country Club.
