Allison Henry, age 79, a resident of Wheaton, IL area since 1978, former resident of Naperville, IL from 1962-1978, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at his home after a long illness.
He was born June 2, 1928 in Union City, NJ. Allison is survived by his wife, Frances D. (nee Ungarino) Henry of Wheaton, whom he married on April 13, 1947, six children, Dennis (Cheryl) Henry, Carol (Russell) Hoffman, Leslie (Robert) King, Dr. Alyson (Joe) Henry Piccirilli, Dana (Michelle) Henry and Susan Henry; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Ray) Lopez, Jennifer (Frank) Micale, Melissa (Tim) Reifschneider, Mike and Tom King, Claire Piccirilli, Ellie and Carolyn Henry; four great-grandchildren, Evan, Sophia, Isabella and Francesca and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Ellen Henry, a brother, Archie Henry and a sister, Ellen Howard.
Allison grew up in Jersey City, NJ. He was a graduate of Illinois Benedictine College, Lisle, IL and had a lifelong career with Zurich American Insurance Co., Schaumburg, IL, starting as a claims adjustor and retiring in 1986 as Chief Operating Officer of the North American Division.
Allison enjoyed golf, reading and painting.
Memorial Visitation Saturday, October 27, 2 to 4 p.m., atFriedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Funeral Services will follow at 4 p.m., in the funeral home.
