At 17, Jordin Sparks said she’s proud to be a virgin — though staying that way can be difficult.
“Temptation is always there,” Sparks recently told usmagazine.com. “It’s hard everyday, but I made a promise to myself.”
The “American Idol” winner has worn a platinum “promise ring” bearing the inscription “True Love Waits” since she was 13. While her parents gave her the ring, Sparks said, she never was forced to wear it.
“It’s all about making the right choice and not putting yourself in that situation,” Sparks said.
Let’s see if Ms. Sparks has better luck than the most famous virginal teen pop queen of all: Britney Spears.
