Summary:

Glenbrook South jumped to a 21-15 first-quarter lead behind nine points from G Anthony Brown. After the Trevians battled back to tie it, C Jack Cooley put Glenbrook South ahead for good on a layup with 7:35 to play in the third quarter. Behind Cooley’s six points, the Titans outscored New Trier 13-3 in the third to lead 42-32 going into the final period.

Top performers:

Glenbrook South—Cooley, 21 points; Brown, 16 points. New Trier—F Jack Boehm, 11 points; F Alex Rossi, 11 points.

“I knew I had to step up in the third quarter, and my team definitely followed me,” Cooley said. “We also shut them down defensively.”
