That’s “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere’s explanation for breaking up with her ex-beau, “Laguna Beach” star Stephen Colletti.
“I just knew I wanted to breathe,” she tells Seventeen magazine, according to excerpts on Us Weekly’s Web site.
“It just hit me like a ton of bricks: This is the time I need to be with myself. It takes such a secure person to be with someone like me — it takes so much confidence; it takes so much trust.”
Panettiere is rumored to be dating her older NBC co-star, Milo Ventimiglia. Hmmm …
