The cub, born Friday, belongs to two Sumatran tigers on loan from a zoo in San Antonio and an aquarium in Denver.
TRANSGENDER VOTE: Montgomery County, Md., election officials have cleared the way for voters to decide whether to uphold broad protections for transgender people passed by the County Council in the fall. Opponents of the measure contend it could lead to indecent exposure in locker rooms and have collected enough valid signatures to place a referendum on the ballot, Board of Elections lawyer Kevin Karpinski said Saturday.
