Chip, chip, hooray!
Need inspiration for that bag of chocolate chips in the cupboard? “The Essential Chocolate Chip Cookbook” (Chronicle, $16.95), by Elinor Klivans, has dozens of tempting ideas, from (no surprise) cookies to (surprise!) Naan beyond compare
Oh, how we love naan, the puffy and delicious East Indian flatbread. If you can’t get your fix straight from the tandoor oven of an Indian restaurant, Fabulous Flats makes a great alternative. Enjoy it as is or heat it in an oven or microwave. An 8.8-ounce package of white, garlic or whole grain naan costs $3 in the bakery department of Jewel and Whole Foods Market.
