Sweet and silly Easter fun

We wouldn’t mind finding these treats in our Easter basket: The 1-ounce white chocolate chick and bunny lollipops cost $1.20 each at Fannie May stores. The “Reester Bunny” (below, a bunny-shaped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup) is available in a 5-ounce package or bags of minis for $2.50-$4 at Jewel, Dominick’s, Target, Walgreens, Meijer and peapod.com.

Chip, chip, hooray!

Need inspiration for that bag of chocolate chips in the cupboard? “The Essential Chocolate Chip Cookbook” (Chronicle, $16.95), by Elinor Klivans, has dozens of tempting ideas, from (no surprise) cookies to (surprise!) Swiss fitness bark. The book is sold at some Barbara’s Bookstores, Barnes & Noble stores, and amazon.com.

Naan beyond compare

Oh, how we love naan, the puffy and delicious East Indian flatbread. If you can’t get your fix straight from the tandoor oven of an Indian restaurant, Fabulous Flats makes a great alternative. Enjoy it as is or heat it in an oven or microwave. An 8.8-ounce package of white, garlic or whole grain naan costs $3 in the bakery department of Jewel and Whole Foods Market.
