Vandals broke several large windows at Burlington Central High School, Kane County sheriff’s police said Friday.

Four or five broken windows were discovered early Thursday by a janitor, police said. Windows on four cars in the parking lot also were broken, said sheriff’s police Lt. Pat Gengler.

Damage was estimated between $10,000 and $20,000.

No one was in the school at the time, and no one entered the school, Gengler said. There were no classes Thursday because of parent-teacher conferences. The school is located at 44W265 Plato Rd..
