‘The Ten Commandments’

Charlton Heston (above, right) is larger than life in this 1956 classic as Moses; Yul Brynner (above, left) is at his steely-eyed best as Pharaoh; and Anne Baxter delivers the movie’s equivalent of “Show me the money” or “I wish I knew how to quit you.” If you have kids, at least make them watch the parting of the Red Sea and watch their eyes widen when you tell them it wasn’t done with computers.

Will Ferrell and Jon Heder star as Chazz and Jimmy, two former skaters who were banned from singles competition. In order to get back in the game, they partner up to compete in the pairs competition.

‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’

8 p.m., Hallmark Channel

Gene Wilder plays the confectioner who offers five kids a tour of his plant and a shot at becoming his successor. But the winner must be pure of heart, and four brats are quickly ruled out. That leaves poor but honest Charlie (Peter Ostrum), but Willy has a special test for him.
