Is 50 Cent caught up in the Hollywood weight-loss frenzy?
Not exactly.
The rapper, who according to MTV has shed several pounds in recent weeks, is gearing up for a new movie role, he tells mtv.com.
“I play a police officer right after Hurricane Katrina,” he says. “It’s me, Val Kilmer and Sharon Stone.”
The reportedly 185-pound actor also is growing his hair out into an Afro for the role — at least as long as it can go.
“It stops growing at a certain point,” Fif joked with MTV.
