TRAIN CRASH: A freight train slammed into a derailed car of another train, causing a pileup of 22 rail cars Sunday in southwestern Pennsylvania. No injuries were reported.
HOME AGAIN: Hundreds of wildfire evacuees were allowed to return home Sunday to Torreon and Tajique, N.M., southeast of Albuquerque. The fire had destroyed 59 houses.
UNSCHEDULED STOP: Two subway cars derailed Sunday in Manhattan, forcing more than 400 passengers to leave on a “rescue train.” Two minor injuries were reported. The cause is being probed.
