Situation: The “American Idol” contestant all but held up a sign saying “I want to go home” on stage Tuesday night, forgetting the words to “Mr. Tambourine Man” in an uninspired performance. The flub came after Castro admitted to not knowing his material during rehearsals with the previous week’s guest-mentor, Neil Diamond.

Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag
Situation: In its upcoming issue, Us Weekly magazine details the so-called bitter feud between former best friends Lauren Conrad (above, left) and Heidi Montag on “The Hills.” The cover reads: “The Plot to Destroy Lauren,” and the mag’s online teaser promises to examine Montag’s reportedly “terrifying obsession” with a sex tape that Conrad denies was ever made.

Star Jones and Barbara Walters
Situation: In her memoir Walters claims that Jones forced her and “The View’s” other co-hosts to lie to cover up Jones’ gastric bypass surgery. Jones fired back, saying Walters had been “reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer … and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book.”
